A delegation of foreign diplomats accredited in Latvia visited Daugavpils. Representatives from various countries responsible for economic affairs, together with the team from the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, visited key public and private sector organizations in Latgale, including Pulsar Optics LV.

The purpose of the visit was to explore new opportunities for developing bilateral relations, expanding investment potential, and fostering economic cooperation and tourism in the Latgale region.

During the trip, the participants gained a deeper understanding of the opportunities available in the Latgale and Rezekne Special Economic Zones. They met with representatives of local authorities and businesses and visited several companies in the region — among them our Latvian enterprise.

The State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, Andžejs Viļumsons, emphasized:

“This is the first time that a targeted visit has been organized for diplomats from foreign embassies in Latvia who are responsible for economic affairs. The trip has the potential to become a new tradition in the field of economic diplomacy. We invite diplomats to pay attention to the opportunities for cooperation in the areas of high technology and innovation, which also contribute to the development of Latgale’s economy.”
