Pulsar Optics Latvia — a crucial part of Yukon Group

Pulsar Optics Latvia is one of Yukon Group’s key companies responsible for developing, designing, and producing cutting-edge thermal imaging and digital night vision technologies. As experts in top-notch devices offered to the broad market, Pulsar Optics Latvia is a vital element of success, helping the group continuously enhance its performance.

Based in Daugavpilis, Pulsar Optics Latvia is one of the fastest-growing companies in Latvia. The fourth largest revenue generator in the Latgale region has expanded its team to more than 300 employees in just three years. With plans to increase the number of personnel to 400, the hi-tech company is bound to become an even more critical part of the Yukon Group.

Pulsar Optics Latvia’s strength lies in two production sections. In addition to assembling the various devices of Yukon Group, such as different thermal imaging riflescopes or extremely powerful Axion thermal imaging monoculars, it also produces the bodies and parts of the devices, which are sent to other companies of the group. This includes using surface-mounted devices, metalworking, or moulding plastics.

All of this is achieved in a newly built factory, one of the most modern facilities in the Yukon Group structure, distinguished by highly developed equipment. With more than 90% of our devices being made in-house, Pulsar Optics Latvia greatly contributes to turning the whole group into a closed-circle manufacturing company.

Pulsar Optics Latvia stands out with one more feat unique to the Yukon Group. This Baltic branch has the only privately owned anechoic chamber in the Baltic States. This means that Yukon Group is the sole manufacturer in the region equipped to carry out this service on its own rather than purchasing it. This equipment helps to monitor the noise level of the devices and then try to suppress it, ensuring the cutting-edge technology of the company’s products.

Generating a turnover of more than 80 million Euros, Pulsar Optics Latvia would be unimaginable without hundreds of devoted employees striving to improve, innovate, and establish worldwide market trends.

Dedicated to ensuring the well-being of its employees, Pulsar Optics Latvia offers various benefits and puts heaps of effort into creating a supportive, motivating workplace culture. Such benefits as summer and New Year holidays, various training courses, different entertainment activities, and cultural and sports programmes are fully paid for by the hi-tech company and help bind the team and keep the employees engaged.

To add, Pulsar Optics Latvia, like other Yukong Group companies, is working hard to give its personnel the freedom to improve and improvise. Through the Staff Committee initiative, the employees are encouraged to initiate various activities, bring colleagues together, and search for ways to bring the team even closer.
