Yukon Group Unveils New Pulsar Wildlife Devices

The Yukon Group is launching six new wildlife observation devices in conjunction with the Wild Vision app. Both the devices and the app are part of the Pulsar Wildlife brand, which was introduced this spring. This brand is designed for individuals involved in or interested in wildlife observation, including researchers, explorers, and enthusiasts. The latest additions to the Pulsar Wildlife lineup are Alari, Orni, Lumion, and Ventex.

How Thermal Imaging Enhances Nature Observation

Thermal technology enables researchers and wildlife enthusiasts to observe animals and birds more effectively while minimizing disturbance. High-quality thermal optics help users detect wildlife even in challenging conditions and capture high-resolution video footage for later analysis.

Additionally, Pulsar Wildlife devices can be operated remotely via the new mobile app from distances of up to 10 meters, enhancing comfort and safety in the field.

New Names to Remember

Building on the legacy of well-known Pulsar models, the new Pulsar Wildlife devices have been reimagined with distinctive identities. The current lineup includes:

  • Alaris XG30 / XQ30: Entry-level monoculars designed for simple and accessible thermal observation.
  • Orni XG35: A compact monocular featuring an integrated laser rangefinder and convenient one-handed operation, suitable for extended observation sessions.
  • Lumion XL50: A performance-oriented monocular that provides HD imaging and advanced image processing for detailed nature studies.
  • Ventex XT50 / XP35: High-class thermal binoculars that offer the widest field of view in the lineup, enhanced imaging detail, and optical magnification for long-range observation.

More Than Just a New Look

The Pulsar Wildlife devices feature firmware specifically tailored for wildlife observation. The interface includes a green graphical user interface (GUI) for improved visibility, and the increased brightness of the micro display ensures comfortable use during the daytime.

The stadiometric rangefinder has been specially developed for birding, making distance estimation easier and more accurate. A new overlay recording mode allows users to capture footage alongside essential on-screen information whenever needed.

Wild Vision App Debut

Complementing the new devices is the Wild Vision app, which expands functionality through an intuitive mobile experience. The app enables users to stream live views, adjust key settings remotely, and access or download recorded files directly from their device for analysis or sharing. Additionally, it provides smooth firmware updates, ensuring that Pulsar Wildlife devices remain easy to maintain and operate at peak performance.

In the next development stage, a Gallery, a News section, push notifications, and other new features will be introduced.

Wild Vision app is available on both Android and iOS platforms.

Looking Ahead: New Members of the Family

The Pulsar Wildlife lineup is set to expand next year with the introduction of new devices. Furthermore, a new team of wildlife professionals will gather in Vilnius later this year, further growing the Pulsar Wildlife community.
