Viktar Rum is the head of Yukon’s testing group. He has forged an outstanding career within the company over the past 18 years. His journey started in 2005 after graduating from the University of Informatics and Radioelectronics. As he climbed up the corporate ladder, Viktar held many positions in software and electronics. He developed applications for several devices, crafting technical specifications that outlined how software should function and simplified the testing process for his teammates. Throughout his career, Viktar’s job title changed often, but the essence of his work remained the same.
“We are not only working, but constantly learning. When I started at Yukon, I couldn’t even imagine the complexity of the jobs we are now doing.”
“Having been at this organisation for a long time, I have seen it develop and grow. When I take a step back and look at the bigger picture, it is amazing to see how far we have come. The source of this success is undoubtedly the people and leaders who have guided us all the way.”
Over the years, Viktar has seen the company change significantly. During his career, he was sent on an English course in Scotland, viewing this as a turning point in his professional life. Afterwards, Viktar was appointed deputy technical manager. He later became head of the research office, studying competitors’ equipment, as well as testing and writing technical specifications for Yukon devices.
Now he is supervising the work of others as head of the QA group. Viktar recognises the power of teamwork and strong leadership of people who have a talent for organising and coordinating complex tasks.
As for the future of Yukon Group, Viktar believes the company will only grow and become more competitive. He believes our devices must not only be useful, but aesthetically pleasing, much like a high-end car.
