Yukon Group Optical Device Wins Prestigious Award

The Lithuanian high-tech company Yukon Group, which owns the Pulsar brand, has won the Thermal Riflescope of the Year award at the recently concluded British Shooting Awards 2025 in the United Kingdom. The recognition was given to the Thermion 2 LRF XL50 optical device, which received high praise for its technological advancements and innovations.

This is not the first award Yukon Group has brought home from the British Shooting Awards, the UK’s most significant exhibition for hunting, sports shooting, and outdoor activities. Last year, the Innovation of the Year award was given to the Telos thermal monocular, a sustainable device that allows users to upgrade individual components to improve performance without purchasing a completely new unit.

Key Features of the Award-Winning Thermion 2 LRF XL50:

  • 12-micrometre (µm) HD thermal sensor capturing thermal images in 1024×768 pixel resolution
  • 14-degree field of view (FOV) for enhanced situational awareness, particularly when tracking moving objects or observing a wider area
  • 2,300-metre detection range, allowing the device to identify objects up to 2.3 km away based on their heat signature
  • Integrated laser rangefinder capable of measuring distances up to 800 metres, providing precise range estimation—an essential feature for hunters and rescue teams

The British Shooting Show is the UK’s premier exhibition for hunting, sports shooting, and outdoor activities, attracting around 40,000 visitors annually. Since its launch in 2018, the event has brought together industry leaders and enthusiasts from across the sector.
